Huh, olipa urakka. Kasasin tänne yhteen ja samaan paikkaan bookcrossingin haasteet, joihin osallistun. Nyt ne löytyvät helposti ja ovat järkevästi katseltavissa. Ei tarvitse hyppiä ja pomppia ja etsiä haasteita pitkin eri foorumin alueita ja pysyvät siististi läjässä täällä. Samalla niiden edistymistä voi muutkin seurata! =) (Eli kurkkaapa tuo sivut-laatikko.) Suomalainen VUH-haastekin kasvoi taas tänään yhdellä ulkomaisella kirjalla: The Tinder Box (Minette Walters). Arvosteluksi annoin 6 tähteä seuraavilla perusteluilla:

I really got into this only after about 40 pages the start being slow and too repetitive about who did and what and why somebody believes otherwise. It also quite took away the delight of finding out myself who did it, because some charachters were too strongly pointed out that it was clear who had at least NOT done it. Yet the book gained speed after half way through and I really was surprised by the end. This was enjoyable read but somehow I got a feeling that this was written in a rush and dind't really offer anything new. This hostility towards "outsiders" has been covered already. The novella was originally published in Dutch, as part of annual "BookWeek" whereby an author is commissioned to write a novella that will be given away with each book purchase and this fact left me wondering more if this actually was a work done in rush or was it only my feeling.

I'll take this to the BC Tampere –meeting in December. Let's see if anyone will be interested. I will recommend this anyway, I think this could be a very thought-provoking read at its best. Yet I didn't find it that way, but as all BC:ers know, we are all different with different tastes and thoughts – which is one of the best things in bookcrossing!
